Sending warmth your way Jude. It's cold here, -17C early morning walks with the dog at 6:30 am. Dark but seeing the upper tree branches as the sun eases toward the horizon feeds my heart, so we do it. She doesn't seem to notice the cold at all as she runs and rolls through the snow. Thinking of you and enjoying your creativity.
Let me add some of my heart's warmth to your home. May you be warm enough while keeping the stove stoked. I was and still am infatuated with your Wind Robe. I remember how you taught us to make a basic pattern, based on our measurements using a paper doll to make notations.
ha! those waiting birds, so like us ragmates, ever delighted by the thread crumbs u share with us!... that wind robe "blows me away"! could see those entwined icicles as a lion's mane or as dread-locks! x
Oh Jude … I am so sorry this winter has been soooo bad but happy you’re able to stay warm enough and that you have Solo and your stitching to keep you sane.
Jude~ the icicles...such a good marker of time. Do you think you are getting more snow than last year? A whole new way of just going for you! 💕 Stay warm and cozy. Love seeing the Wind Robe again :)

I love the eerie sound the trees make in the frozen wind
I’ll be wishing for no more snow for you too! 🔥☕️
Stay safe 💙

Warm hugs for the both of you. I almost feel bad telling you our daffodils are blooming; we're having a false spring.
My brother in Idaho says there has been no winter.
The size of our icicles is other worldly...
Bigger than me.

Time for a wool version I think. Maybe alpaca!

Yes, haven't worked with them much, more ideas.

We get through stuff right?
Ah yes, Winter. Sorting out some papers then other day I came across a poem which begins
"When winter finally limps away licking its last snow-covered leg...." Such an apt description.
I'm ready for that last snow-covered leg to disappear.
Love this line!

Ha!, yes. Enough...
