Glad you are ok. I spend two months every year alone and it is amazing how much I get done without depending/waiting on someone else. It's these annoying days that make us stronger, at least that's what I tell myself.

Don't have a clue why this is here twice -- it's not that important.

When I first got my licence my folks timed me changing a tyre and said they wouldn’t let me out alone unless I could do it in under 7 minutes. That was all well and good fifty years ago.

These days it takes me that long to liberate the tools from their fancy storage compartment, and don’t start me on the effort needed to undo mechanically tightened bolts!!

at almost 74 I've suddenly taken a big interest in learning to keep my cool. I helps a lot. It's an important tool. I need to get me a big ol' truck... I'm moving to nowheresville.

That’s a faulty tyre! Hope you get it replaced for free… it shouldn’t have shredded like that! The 9 patch is centering, especially with the eye ❤️

Holy cow!! Some new tire, eh? Geez.

I'm super grateful that you are okay and I hope they replaced that tire for you, if need be.

The eye color is so pretty.

Every new phase of life requires another, dare I say bigger, pair of panties to put on. And we do because we have to. Good job, Jude, handling the situation with grace...and a gorgeous nine patch, to boot. That eye!!!!

Holy Moly! I have never seen a tire shredded like that. Can't imagine. Yep, glad that day is behind you. Re-centering in the eye of the storm, or the all-seeing eye, the new vista that is unfolding. Take care of you in an extra-special way after that encounter. Peace.

So sorry for your tire incident. It sounds like you approached it calmly which is always better than despair, anger or helplessness.
