As Laurie Anderson says "get a good bullshit detector and don't be afraid to use it"! And yes, letting go is the thing.

Dad, who lived to 104, said the more things you like the happier you will be. I have gotten rid of all lot of life's bullshit and while I am not still not crazy about football at least I now tolerate it.

Being a true dendrophile, (trees don’t do bullshit and my conversations with them are always worthwhile), I love this Jude. I hope you are doing well and things are moving forward. Hugs to you and Solo. ❤️. LizinOregon

There's that expression about choosing your battles wisely. Perhaps it also holds true for choosing your outrage wisely. I love that you can still make me gasp out-loud in wonder at what you create. I'm reminded of the Ents in Lord of the Rings. The trees who pull up their roots and walk.

choice is important, considering how our choices become manipulated. Horrifying really.

This one was a bit like painting, it just flowed into form.

Beautiful art piece. At 80, I also have learned to let go of meaningless “clutter.” It feels good.

I see myself, at times, as a wise grandmother who can speak truths. Yet our young ones can dig deep and come out with words that echo what truly matters. This Thanksgiving, our twin 15 yr old grandchildren were with us. Our grandson is a loquacious guy, quick with quips and so funny. He asked to give the toast at the table and we all braced ourselves: He looked at all of us, raised his glass and said, quietly, "to family for they are everything". His twin sister added, "it's not what you have that you should be thankful for, it is who you have in your life that makes you thankful." Let me tell you, there was hot a dry eye in the house...it is about caring, and love, plain and simple.

we start out clear, and end up clear. Seems most of the shit happens in the middle. 😂

Fierce and tender ... wandering, but not lost. I love this piece and its title so much. Encapsulates the maelstrom of feelings in my heart. And what better truth teller than a tree? Thank you a million-billion.

The sense of motion is so strong in this piece.... This morning I am thinking that trees remind me to take the long view.

Yes, Deb, the long view. Just listened to a indigenous woman speaking about the perspective of the 100-year arc.

I suspect my adult daughter wonders disappointingly why I don’t get all rah rah about Christmas. You’ve given me the best response. “It’s not about not caring, it is about not being swept away by it.”
