I never heard the expression, stick season, I like it.

You can see things that were hidden behind the trees.

I noticed your round house has many windows.

I have used quickly made string quilts, hung inside the window frame on spring rods,

for privacy at night and keeping the cold out. I used fabric given to me from a friend whose mom was a quilter and she had passed. You could use sheets, the batting makes the difference. Good luck with your move and settling in.

Years ago, reading and interacting with your Spirit Cloth blog was an important part of my daily routine. Then, life intensified, and I quit blog-reading altogether.

I'm so pleased to be reconnecting with your Spirit, now. It's just the right time, and feels like a small but significant "homcoming" for me.

Sending hopes that your big life changes settle into your bones in a similar, but more profound way-- a Coming Home, in every best sense.

Hey Sara, it's been such a long time hasn't it? A life time ago this blogging began.

We have all just kept going. Coming Home is such a warming thought.

Love the line of light in the top image. You have me thinking of my field note scarf, all those lines of sunrise. :) Wishing you a smooth and uneventful move. Give Soul-o a little love from me.

Godspeed with your move Jude. I am with you in spirit having just completed a massive shift in circumstances and am still transitioning. The final leg is a week from now. I am moving from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere and the effort put me man down for the first part of the shift. I thought I could relax after the huge effort it took to singly extricate myself from twenty years of living in an adopted country, involving shipping for goods and chattels and decluttering on an intense scale, but no such luck! Ten days of physical pain and now a local virus has me flattened! Still, onward and upward and then, "home James and don't spare the horses!" I am finally able to regroup and consider life going forward. It is hard to do these things alone and I just kept putting one foot in front of the other and focussing on the next job to be done until finally all I had left was to get to the airport and board a plane. So much stress to deal with and then it's over. Two more flights and then I'm done. May your move and your new life be peaceful and filled with wonder.
