Soul-o looks so cozy!

People here were commenting about how cold it was, but I didn't need a coat over my lightweight knit top. It got down to about 32° at about 3 or 3 am and must have been in the mid 40s this afternoon. They say it's going to snow, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm adapting, 60 is an ok temp in the house now.

You keep me grounded--blessings.

Jude~ Brrrr! Stay warm you two! I won't tell you of the SoCal temps. At this point it just feels too haha and unkind. Sending warm hugs. ~Nancy

The warmth of a hug works.

Very cool idea to felt the edge of the blanket. Looks terrific!

I want to do more of this. It's a scarf, but a blanket to him.

It's been -1 and -2°C here in Wales, UK. I have been felting some boots for my little nearly 1 year old friend, Rowan. I am a fan of semi-hibernation.

Jude Hill's avatar

Semi is better.

Hibernating here, too, except I need to go out for groceries. Hard to leave the wood stove! Rhu has done a few, small outside stints... they don't last more than 10 minutes. Stay warm and happy hibernating.

I'll shop and stuff tomorrow, I think it will be the only warmer day for a while.

Good morning Jude,

Woke up to a wind chill of -10, but it's sunny. That's always a plus in my book. We'll have to endure this cold snap a while longer. Bella, our spunky kitten, goes out in the powdery, blowing snow... She acts like a kid, jumping and twirling with delight. Within 2 minutes, she squats, does her business and wants back in. Oh, to have that amount of energy... As I settle back in my favorite rocker, stitching on a new Scroll, I dream of the years that have passed, many more than I have left in this life. I pray for World peace, but top on my list is I pray for our country and all of our neighbors of many races and religions. I'll stop whittering and continue to broadcast Love and Compassion for all living things.

Namaste, Pat in Ohio

yes, the sun came out and it made so much difference, charges my brain.

Hate is such a waste of the little time we have...

Stay inside with Soul-o, tea and a nice cozy fire. Sending " warm" winds, your way, from here in New Mexico where this morning it was 23, certainly warmer than 5 and we have no snow is on the ground. ! I look at your nine patch for warmth and I think of the dyed scraps that I finally put together in a little cloth this weekend that helped me to ask the question of am I doing enough, to uphold Democracy in America. Are signs and phone calls to the White House and our congressional reps and senators and conversations with neighbors, the local grocery clerk, the librarian who likes to chat when I return books, with family and especially teenage grand children enough? As I stitched those raggedy scraps together, I thought of how we are all raggedy scraps of humanity that make up the quilt that is America...

Jude Hill's avatar

Yes, connection, it's all a patchwork in perspective, I'll keep the fire going, my needle threaded and reject hate.

I hope it doesn’t last too long. Soul has the right idea there. I’d be hibernating and dreaming of spring.

Looking very cold for the foreseeable future. 🥶
