Stay inside with Soul-o, tea and a nice cozy fire. Sending " warm" winds, your way, from here in New Mexico where this morning it was 23, certainly warmer than 5 and we have no snow is on the ground. ! I look at your nine patch for warmth and I think of the dyed scraps that I finally put together in a little cloth this weekend that helped me to ask the question of am I doing enough, to uphold Democracy in America. Are signs and phone calls to the White House and our congressional reps and senators and conversations with neighbors, the local grocery clerk, the librarian who likes to chat when I return books, with family and especially teenage grand children enough? As I stitched those raggedy scraps together, I thought of how we are all raggedy scraps of humanity that make up the quilt that is America...

Good morning Jude,

Woke up to a wind chill of -10, but it's sunny. That's always a plus in my book. We'll have to endure this cold snap a while longer. Bella, our spunky kitten, goes out in the powdery, blowing snow... She acts like a kid, jumping and twirling with delight. Within 2 minutes, she squats, does her business and wants back in. Oh, to have that amount of energy... As I settle back in my favorite rocker, stitching on a new Scroll, I dream of the years that have passed, many more than I have left in this life. I pray for World peace, but top on my list is I pray for our country and all of our neighbors of many races and religions. I'll stop whittering and continue to broadcast Love and Compassion for all living things.

Namaste, Pat in Ohio
