It’s August. Hot and humid. Summer. But I sense the beginning of the turning. Bugs are singing new songs. I love the transitions.
I happened on a tree I had not noticed since I moved here. I am still exploring these 18 acres of overgrown magic.
This is a BIG tree, and so healthy. The deer can reach the bottom but there is more than enough to share. There is just food everywhere.
I am going to take a break. Spend some time wandering through the forest with new friends. Observing. Watching for change. Season is my teacher. I’ll just shut up for a while and look. Listen. Dream a bit. Maybe I’ll learn something.
See ya later.

A "wild wander" is just the best!
In Welsh, July is Gorffenaf...gorffen hâf...which translates as Summer finished, so August is the beginning of Autumn for us. There is dew in the mornings now. We picked apples, plums and blackberries from wild places this week and made crumbles.
What gifts, your shared apple tree and blackberries.
Wandering, looking, listening, dreaming sounds good medicine.
