Love your discoveries tracing by memory, each a different feeling. I now use a real pencil on fabric thku. My husband's fingers split in winter, we use finger bandages loaded with Boiron's calendula ointment, works quickly.
That's true wise woman wisdom, someone who has been around for awhile. Thanks Jude, you are such a treasure trove of wording. Wordsmithing? Nailing it?
how the image softens on cloth! love the looking away 'n redrawing it "by heart"... the mystery of that. wondering about the evolution of doing this 9 times. and the transfiguration of integrating thread. endless possibilities... x
what I notice is how much smoother your lines are a year later -- more certain. After 19 days of below freezing, it was 50 degrees today. It took my body a while to believe it. Back to cold tomorrow but a warm-up is in sight.
What a sweet drawing coming up on Valentine's day.
Hope your thumbs will get better soon. Have you ever heard of Bag balm.
It works wonders on cracked, winter worn farm hands. Years ago I had hands that were cracked and there was no moisturize lotions that would make them well. My grandma was still alive and she gave me this thick salve and it seemed like overnight the healing was noticeable. It was Bag balm. Used by farmers on the utters of a nursing cow, when they were being milked again. Just a suggestion. Not a prescription lol.
Flowering ... made me think of the children's book from the early 1900s called "When the Root Children Wake Up." Hints of spring even when it's freezing.
Awww...I remember the winter bitch!! Glad the thumbs are getting better. I used to go through that in winter when changing so many diapers and washing my hands so much. It sure is uncomfortable.
I'm noticing how the heart has moved and the little one's expression has changed...but, really you are quite skilled at this kind of reproducing! The original little one has an expression of mischief like in Where the Wild Things Are. haha

Hope your healing continues! 🪡👍
And; a break from the polar cold!!
I love this, "A new moment, from an old thought." A refresh from a new perspective
Looking away for a moment is a great reset.
how true
I've been resetting lately.
Every January, I spend the month evaluating what I own. Is this relevant for my current self? A reset. New perspective on what's important.
Questions are the answers.

true!
Seems like resignation
Based on season as teacher.
My thumbs do the exact same thing. Every winter. Astounding how much it hurts. They heal up just in time to stick my hands in soil.
Cats with hearts.♥️🐈🐈⬛♥️ Make me happy.
Yes, the pain is astounding from such little cuts.
Soul-o is a great role model.

I have some examples of that.

I wonder if I was more sure ...
The temperature change calmed me, I think I am in transition.
LOL. Had to laugh about your "winter bitch" comment. Is she referring to a who or a what?
A not so stray self!
Me too..humid, cloudy & 65 in East Texas after short ice storm 2 weeks ago! Just got limbs picked up, finally! Spring is Coming!
Yes it is!!!
Good evening Jude,
What a sweet drawing coming up on Valentine's day.

Blessings and sending healing thoughts your way.

I'm making a list, thank you!
Loving this new design here Jude, can't wait to see how you will solve it. xoox Stay warm xox
Right now, just looking...
Glad your fingers are feeling better, and loving your drawing 💙
It feels so different drawing on cloth.
How we can stand together. :)
And the beauty in that.

An awakening of any kind is a welcomed thought.

It will change again as I stitch...
I look forward to seeing this morph!
Not sure where to start.
