We have to start wearing masks again.

It may become a way of life.

Jude~ Loosey looks so content! Lots flying around over there! 🙂

Jude Hill's avatar

she does but it changes moment to moment.

There's something in the air!

Ah, the season of the smoke is upon us. Thick or thin with clear in between, ....for the next several months. No longer a New rhythm, I'm settled with this now expected pattern of smoke.

And I keep rocking my needle thru cloth one stitch/breath at a time.

Jude Hill's avatar

Well, it cleared this morning, now a tornado watch...🙄

Hope you get some relief from the smoke soon. I remember how horrible it was here when we had the fires and the smoke filled the valley. I had three air filters going in my small house.

Life is patchwork; one persons patchwork quilt would look quite different from anothers. Interesting thought but I don't do applique anymore.

Use it as a metaphor

Beats witches on broomsticks!! so gorgeous. and Loosey, you are slowly gaining her trust I think, what a serendipitous coming together. I'm wondering how Soul-O & Loosey regard each other? No smoke skies here in Melbourne but my life right now feels like trying to gather clouds into some order - impossible task as they float around where they will. Wish I could draw that image.

Jude Hill's avatar

I think they will be a tough match.

I am imagining an image...maybe a grid of clouds.

Love the butterflies so much. Yes, there is so much... Many threaded needles needed. You are probably right about Loosey, such a sweet photo.

Jude Hill's avatar

She looks so at home.

Pam Sorrells's avatar

Looks like the new cat is feeling at home 💙

And did you make those butterflies with fabric or a drawing?

Jude Hill's avatar

Drawing and an altered photo.

KITTY looks like my outdoor TIO I hope your kitty will come in soon like my two did love that you care love

Hope so.

Interesting that Loosey may be deaf. She looks sweet. Cats seem to know where to go when they need help! Parasites, indeed!

Jude Hill's avatar

I just noticed, because she doesn't respond when she is not looking at me...

Your characters are so cool. I love the fishbug or whomever that little guy is! I am also getting such a kick out of Loosey! She loves that little habitat you've made for her! I'm hoping by the winter she is tame enough to hang out with you guys inside. What a cutie! Makes me happy. The canadian smoke is finally gone from our skies in Boston. The birds are happy.

Jude Hill's avatar

yeah, when it gets cold, I am hoping.

skies are clearing a bit now

“Keep your needle threaded” is as good a metaphor for keepin’ on as Ive ever heard.

Jude Hill's avatar

Simple enough, but then....

I love the butterflies! And your kindness with the stray. He looks like he’s happy on his blue cushion.

Jude Hill's avatar

Happy for now...

JAB's avatar

The smoke unfortunately a natural result of fire. Parasites identified is not a solution.

We need to stitch more kindness together like your work sheltering a struggling cat

The butterflies are beautiful

Jude Hill's avatar

We might become a blanket.

I’m crazy patchwork…. Not the beautiful victorian but as crazy as my head is…. You know me….

Jude Hill's avatar

yes you are!!! I know you.

Pam Sorrells's avatar

Brain fog has a new meaning with all the wildfire smoke! You probably need an air purifier in your house Jude. Hope you get some relief soon! 💙✌🏼

Jude Hill's avatar

yeah I have 2, because I also heat with wood, good to have.

Pam Sorrells's avatar

That’s good 👍🏻

Teresa's avatar

OMG! Love the threaded needle butterflies!

Teresa's avatar

Also… Loosey the wild child. Hope she/he discovers the comfort of the indoors soon.

we'll see...
